There are so many things I love about First Lutheran Classical School, starting with the low student/teacher ratio. They put students where they are academically—instead of automatically placing them according to age. FLCS helps build godly character for my son’s future servant leadership. The multi-grade classroom promotes peer socialization with older and younger classmates.

I especially love how my son is learning the importance of caring for others through servant events such preparing meals for the Ronald McDonald House, visiting with the elderly at Village Healthcare, and walking as a team for CareNet. Informative and fun field trips have taken advantage of Missoula’s great artistic community.

I appreciate the daily communication with my son’s teacher, and her weekly letters to our home. I am welcome in the classroom at any time, and put to work! I think the school has excellent academics, and students are taught how to think and learn—not just taught what to think or taught to the test.

Most important of all, my son knows that Christ died for his salvation, and he hears the message of the Triune God taught every day and in weekly chapel.
